DMG Luxatemp Handmix – Dual-Component Temporary Crown and Bridge Material
The DMG Luxatemp Handmix is a self-curing composite resin designed for the fabrication of temporary crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneers. This dual-component material is based on multifunctional methacrylates and is manually mixed to achieve a paste-like consistency.
Clinical Application:
- Fabrication of temporary crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, and veneers.
- Creation of durable temporary restorations.
Operation Time:
- 0:00-1:00 minutes:Â Mixing material and placement in the mouth.
- 2:30-3:00 minutes:Â Removal from the mouth.
- 6:00-7:00 minutes:Â Curing process completion and processing of the temporary restoration.
Operating Sequence:
- Take an impression of the prepared tooth or teeth using alginate, silicone, or thermoplastic impression material.
- Clean and lubricate the prepared tooth and surrounding tissues.
- Inject Luxatemp Handmix into the impression or thermoplastic mold.
- Seat the filled impression onto the prepared tooth within 60 seconds of mixing.
- Remove the temporary restoration from the mouth when it is still in the elastic phase (2:30-3:00 minutes after mixing).
- Remove the oxygen-inhibited layer from the temporary restoration surface.
- Finalize the temporary restoration using dental finishing tools approximately 6:00-7:00 minutes after mixing.
- Check occlusion and polish as necessary.
- Clean and dry the prepared tooth and remove any separating agent.
- Cement the temporary restoration using a suitable temporary cement.
- Check and adjust the occlusion as needed.
